Round 2, here I answer YOUR questions about weight loss, if you missed Part 1 click here.
The following questions involve:
  1. Exercise
  2. The Master Cleanse and losing muscle
  3. Body changes (reducing bust size with weight loss)
  4. Green Tea vs Black Tea
  5. Calorie Counting
  6. Fighting Cravings
  7. Portion control

  • How often did you exercise? What exercises did you do?
First let me say, I am no longer fond of gyms, I find them too expensive and too far from my home. Besides I knew people were able to lose weight with out a monthly payment or even leaving their home so I wanted to find exercises I could do that wouldn’t require equipment.
I exercised 3-4 times a week, starting off with a morning stretch and jogging for at least 45 minutes. What motivated me to start running was a very interesting FREE program called The Couch to 5k running plan.
After my run, I would then work on my abs with basic abdominal cruches and squats, I REALLY wanted flat abs and to maintain my firm behind so that was important. On days that I did not jog I would do Pilates exercises, they are a GREAT way to tone and sculpt your body. When I was sitting down watching a movie (or any other reason I found to sit down), I would sit upright in my chair positioned so that my feet were firmly planted on the floor, my hands firmly gripping either side of my seat (to maintain balance and control). I would extend my legs directly out in front of me, leaving my knees slightly bent and then lower them 3-4 inches and then lift them back to my starting position (my legs extended out in front of me) that was a VERY TOUGH ab workout for me. It sounds easy but just try it and you’ll see. Remember to keep your posture straight and tighten your abs as you lift your legs.
Those were my main exercises because I really didn’t want to workout too hard while at home, when I jogged I would push myself hard (I used to run track) but the other exercises I did not want to tire me out as easily.
  • How much did you eat ?
I reduced the large portions I used to eat. I did this by simply not filling my entire plate with food, it’s ok to NOT have a mound of food at one sitting, they’re called leftovers for a reason. It’s all about Portion control and Self control.

  • How long did it take to lose the weight?
First, I MUST address my Master Cleanse journey because I constantly get asked if it works, it’s purpose is to CLEANSE and that it does.
I began my journey in January, starting with the Master Cleanse, KEEP IN MIND, the Master Cleanse did NOT lead to my overall 40lb weight loss. I did the master cleanse in January and lost 13lbs. That’s all, so no the Master Cleanse is not an easy way out.
And I gained back most if not all of the weight, because after a fast YOU WILL GAIN BACK WEIGHT, YOUR BODY WANTS TO RETAIN EVERYTHING IT CAN, IT IS NORMAL. So don’t be disappointed when you gain back weight, that’s expected, because it’s not a diet, it’s a CLEANSE/DETOX.
After the cleanse, I spent months trying to figure out what techniques and diet pills could help me, then I gave up for a while. In June I sat down and focused on the source of all my weight gain, which was my large meal plan. From June to August I lost the weight. Through eating less, exercise and more will power than I ever thought I had.
  • What did you eat?

It’s important for you to know that I counted my calories. I reduced my calories by 500

Blow it out

We talked about it, and neither one of us can let go.

So we decided to repair and improve what we have.
I'm glad we did so.

I can now exhale.
Breathe again.
He's more affectionate and passionate than before.
Or at least I'm noticing more. I have this habit of not giving people all of me for fear of being hurt.
Which I feel is reasonable.

But I don't mind him holding my heart.
B/c he continues to prove time after time, that he'll take care of it.

Just now it seems he's more tender than before, and I like it ;)

Oh darling, my life has become an old 50s movie, full of controlled drama and form fitting outfits, heartbreak and seduction, where's my red lipstick?

Wrapped up in things you wouldn't understand, b/c these are matters of the heart, and the heart as I'm told is treacherous.
I find I can't complete my tasks until I know his answer, paralyzed in a way... and I'm ok with that.
I'm content knowing I haven't moved from this spot and won't until I find out my fate...our fate.

My head hurts, vomit induced night, I feel so sick.

Eating to block out reality and pain, I'm going backwards in my accomplishments, shame on me.
I tell myself I'm ready for the answer, but I know I'm not. Either way there will be pain, this is the only kind of pain I don't welcome.

My eyes have been quite empty lately, I captured it in a photo, I feel I look beautiful, but like he always says, my eyes always tell on me.

Mine are very empty.
Eyes quite empty
