I've been slacking lately on my water consumption and I have no idea why. As a result of this I find myself craving more and more foods. I don't give in to the cravings but I have them. I'm sure you've heard that we tend to mistake thirst for hunger and that's the case for me. So more water starting today!

I'm currently typing this at 2:43am but Today is Today and I'm guzzling filtered water in between sentences.

So here's the plan, it's pretty freakin easy honestly.

  • Drink water throughout the day -it will fill you up and you're less likely to eat a lot and snack on high calorie treats. That full feeling will have you thinking twice when you look at that greasy, salty or sweet abomination that you know is full of high fructose corn syrup and ingredients you can't pronounce.
  • STOP DRINKING SODA!! - I was guilty of this months ago, I'd just tried Diet Coke and loved it, then realized there was Aspartame in it and freaked out. Then found out Kidney Problems, Obesity, Rotting Teeth and more are results of diet soda consumption. Not worth it.
  • Drink cold water - it speeds up your metabolism
  • Chill out on the salt - unless you want to look like a bloated whale all the time
  • Drink water before, during and after your meal - you'll fill up and eat less… I think that's pretty simple.

Stick with it! We can do this! :)
